Summary

Ambassador (Dr.) Henry Okerekporo Obrorindo is an experienced peacebuilder, conflict resolution specialist, and security expert who has worked for over 26 years to promote peace and stability, especially in the Niger Delta region. He has helped resolve serious conflicts between communities, companies, and institutions by encouraging dialogue, mediation, and understanding instead of violence or court cases.

Ambassador (Dr.) Henry Okerekporo Obrorindo is a respected conflict resolution practitioner, security specialist, and peace advocate whose work has shaped stability and cooperation across the Niger Delta for more than two decades. His career reflects a rare blend of technical expertise, deep community insight, and an unwavering commitment to peaceful coexistence.

With over 26 years of service in conflict management, security intelligence, and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), he has played a central role in resolving high-risk disputes between host communities and major oil and gas companies. His calm, structured approach has restored peace in communities once affected by violence, leadership struggles, or prolonged litigation.

Amb. (Dr.) Obrorindo currently serves as the Vice President of Arbitration and Advocacy International Nig. Ltd., a subsidiary of International Arbitration and Advocacy Corp., Massachusetts, USA. He also leads several companies across the peacebuilding, security, and construction sectors, including Rylglax Concept Resources Services Ltd., Exodoc Energy and Construction Ltd., and Exodoc Associates Ltd. His experience in these roles has strengthened relationships between communities and corporate entities, helping create safer and more sustainable environments for development.

His academic and professional background spans chemistry, political science, industrial security, leadership, mediation, and crisis management. He has trained with renowned institutions including the Nigeria Institute for Industrial Security, Police College Ikeja, School of Corporate Security and Safety Management, Mediator Training Institute (DCON Consult), and the Institute of Emergency, Crisis, Disaster, Safety, Environment and Risk Management.

He is internationally recognized as an Ambassador for World Peace and a Licensed Peace and Conflictologist. His honours include multiple doctorate degrees, membership in global peace organisations, an Associate Professorship awarded by the American University of Peace and Governance, Texas, USA and an Advisory Council Member of the United Nations International Peace and Governance Council (UNIPGC).

Amb. (Dr.) Obrorindo’s interventions have directly improved conditions in communities such as Idu-Ekpeye, Kenlogbene, Obianyima, Opuama, Ekokor-Ifuama, and Obiofu, among many others. His ongoing work in Ayamasa-2 Host Community further demonstrates his long-term commitment to conflict prevention, structured dialogue, and sustainable peace.

Across his professional journey, he has championed the belief that dialogue—not litigation—should be the first pathway to resolving conflict. Through this philosophy, he has remained a guiding force for building mutual trust, social stability, and better futures for vulnerable communities and development partners.

Ambassador (Dr.) Henry Okerekporo Obrorindo founded the Exodoc Peace and Leadership Initiative with a clear mission: to strengthen peace, enhance leadership capacity, and support communities in conflict-prone environments. His vision grew from firsthand experience living and working in the Niger Delta, a region where misunderstandings, poor communication, and unresolved grievances often fuel crises.

As a seasoned conflict resolution specialist, he has dedicated his life to preventing violence, saving communities from prolonged disputes, and encouraging peaceful engagement between people and institutions. His extensive work with host communities, corporate organisations, and government agencies laid the groundwork for a platform that promotes peacebuilding on a broader scale.

Through the Exodoc Peace and Leadership Initiative, he aims to:

  • Build leaders who can solve problems through dialogue and collaboration

  • Strengthen community structures to reduce conflict triggers

  • Support peaceful coexistence between local populations and investors

  • Empower youth and women with skills that promote long-term development

  • Provide training in mediation, negotiation, and conflict prevention

His personal philosophy—grounded in fairness, human dignity, and the rule of law—continues to inspire every program under the Initiative. He believes that peace is not merely the absence of conflict but the active presence of understanding, justice, and mutual respect.

Amb. (Dr.) Obrorindo remains a guiding pillar of integrity, compassion, and transformative leadership. His life’s work lights a path for communities striving for peace, stability, and meaningful development.
